PSDmate runs A/B tests on Etsy listings by publishing two variants and comparing their performance over a fixed fourteen-day window using daily view, favourite and sale snapshots. At the end of the window the winner is decided automatically from the accumulated data rather than from whichever looked better after two days, which is usually the one that happened to catch a weekend.
The problem this solves
Sellers change a listing photo, see a good day, and conclude the new photo won. Etsy traffic is noisy enough that two days of data tells you almost nothing, and the change gets rolled out shop-wide on the strength of a coincidence.
