A sticker mockup generator shows your design as a physical sticker: die-cut edge, surface finish, and applied on something that gives it scale. PSDmate renders these from your own PSD templates, so the cut border, gloss and drop shadow come from the template rather than being faked with a stroke — and a whole sticker pack renders in one job instead of one file at a time.
How it works
- Upload your PSD templates. PSDmate finds the Smart Object placeholder in each file — no layer renaming, no setup.
- Add your artwork. One design or a folder of them.
- Render the batch. Every design against every template, at the PSD’s native canvas size, returned as a ZIP.
- Publish to Etsy. AI writes the title, description and 13 tags from the rendered image, then posts the draft listing to your shop.
PSDmate does not supply stickertemplates. It renders the ones you own — bought from Creative Market, Envato or Etsy, or built from your own photography. That is the trade: your scenes stay yours instead of appearing in every other shop’s listings.
Sticker print specifications
| Resolution | 300 DPI at final printed size, minimum |
| Bleed | Usually 0.125 in beyond the cut line |
| Cut line | Supplied as a separate path or layer, not drawn into the artwork |
| File format | PNG with transparency, or PDF where the supplier wants a vector cut path |
| Etsy listing image | 2000 px on the shortest side or larger |
These are the common figures across major print-on-demand suppliers, not a guarantee. Your supplier’s own spec sheet always wins — see the DPI and resolution guide for how to check a file before listing it.
What makes a sticker mockup convert
Scale is invisible
A sticker photographed alone could be 2 in or 6 in. Put it on a laptop, bottle or notebook in at least one image or expect size questions on every order.
The cut line sells it
The white die-cut border is what makes a flat image read as a sticker. It has to follow the artwork silhouette, not a rectangle.
Finish matters
Matte, gloss and holographic are three different products at three different prices. The mockup should show which one the buyer is getting.
Packs need a layout
Sticker sheets and packs sell better than singles, and the listing image needs to show the whole set arranged, not one sticker.
Choosing a sticker PSD template
- Look for templates with a live cut-border layer that follows the Smart Object contents.
- Get one applied-in-context template (laptop, water bottle) and one flat-lay set.
- Holographic and glitter finishes need a dedicated template — an overlay on a matte photo does not convince.
- Sheet templates with multiple placeholders let you show a full pack in one render.
Why bulk rendering matters here
Finish × applied surface × single vs sheet vs pack layout.
Rendering that by hand is the same six Photoshop steps repeated until the drop is live. PSDmate runs the whole grid as one job, which is the difference between listing a design the day you finish it and listing it next weekend.
Frequently asked questions
What resolution do sticker designs need?
300 DPI at the final printed size, plus the bleed your supplier asks for — commonly 0.125 in. A 3 in sticker therefore needs roughly 900 px of artwork plus bleed.
How do I show sticker size in a mockup?
Place it on a familiar object. A laptop lid, water bottle or notebook gives instant scale in a way a dimension label in the description never does.
