TIFF is the format print shops, scanners and stock archives hand out, and it is also the format no web browser, no marketplace uploader and no phone gallery will open. This free converter decodes the TIFF in your browser and writes a PNG — lossless, so nothing in the image degrades, and with any transparency preserved. Multi-page TIFFs convert as their first page. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

The problem this solves
A supplier sends artwork as a .tif and suddenly nothing works: the browser downloads it instead of showing it, Etsy rejects it on upload, and the built-in photo viewer either shrugs or opens it sideways. The file is fine — it is just in a format the modern web never adopted.
What it does
Actually decodes TIFF
No browser can read TIFF natively. This page carries a real TIFF decoder, so the file is opened properly rather than handed to an image tag that will fail silently.
Lossless the whole way
TIFF and PNG are both lossless, so the conversion changes the container without touching a pixel. Nothing is re-compressed and no artefacts are introduced.
Transparency preserved
A TIFF with an alpha channel becomes a PNG with an alpha channel, rather than being flattened onto a background you did not ask for.
Whole folders at once
Drop in up to thirty files and every one is converted. Multiple outputs download together as a ZIP, so a set of listing images is one action rather than thirty.
Nothing is uploaded
The conversion runs in your browser using the same image pipeline the browser uses to show you a photo. Your file never reaches a server, there is no queue, and there is no account to make. It also means a large file is limited by your own machine's memory rather than by an upload cap.
Where it lives in PSDmate
Free and open on this page. Inside PSDmate, artwork in any common format feeds the bulk mockup renderer directly.
Questions
Why will nothing open my TIFF file?
No mainstream browser decodes TIFF, and most marketplaces reject it on upload. It survives in print and archival workflows because it is lossless and stores colour data faithfully, not because it is convenient.
Does converting TIFF to PNG lose quality?
No. Both formats are lossless, so the pixels are unchanged. The PNG is usually smaller, because PNG compresses and most TIFFs are stored uncompressed.
What about a multi-page TIFF?
Only the first page is converted. Multi-page TIFFs are mostly scanned documents, and for those a PDF is a better destination than a PNG.
Can I convert a TIFF straight to JPG instead?
Yes — change the output format on this page, or use the TIFF to JPG page. Choose JPG when file size matters and PNG when nothing is allowed to degrade.
