PSDmate Now Includes Ready-Made Poster Mockups

Until now PSDmate only rendered the PSD mockups you brought with you. Every paid plan now comes with a library of framed-poster room scenes you can add in one click, render without limits and publish straight to Etsy.

PSDmate has always been built around one idea: you already own good PSD mockups, so the tool should render your artwork into all of them at once. That works well if you have a folder of mockups. If you are just starting out, it meant the first job was to go and buy some.

That gap is now closed. Every paid PSDmate plan now includes a library of ready-made poster mockups, and you can be rendering your first listing images without owning a single PSD.

What is in the library

The library opens with twelve framed-poster room scenes, built for wall-art sellers:

  • Hallways and panelled rooms with soft daylight and leaf shadows
  • A bedroom wall, a sunlit corner with books and frames leaning on warm wooden floors
  • A record shelf with plants and a retro living room for styled interiors
  • A clean black frame on plain white for a minimal, gallery look

Every one is a proper layered PSD with a Smart Object for your artwork, a separate shadow and light layer so your poster picks up the room's lighting, and the frame on top. The poster area is plain white, so the preview shows the room and the frame rather than placeholder text.

Before anything goes into the library we test-render it with a real poster and check the result, so a mockup you add should render properly first time.

How to use it

  1. Open Templates and click Add frames.
  2. Choose the PSDmate mockups tab.
  3. Pick the scenes you want and add them to a layout.

From then on they behave exactly like PSDs you uploaded yourself. Your artwork renders into every mockup in the layout in one go, the results go into your listing images, and you can publish to Etsy with titles and tags written for you.

Two details worth knowing:

  • No storage cost. A library mockup is copied into your account without counting against your plan's PSD storage.
  • No render limits. Like everything else in PSDmate, the included mockups render as many times as you need on every paid plan.

You can mix them freely with your own mockups. Plenty of sellers will use the library to get started and add their own scenes as the shop grows.

Why we added it

The question we were asked most by new sellers was some version of "I don't have any mockups yet, can I still try it?" The honest answer used to be "not really". Now it is yes, including during the free trial.

It also brings PSDmate level with the closest tool in this space. Artomate has offered gallery templates on its Frames page alongside custom PSD uploads; PSDmate now does the same. Both render PSD mockups in the cloud with no Photoshop needed, so the choice between them comes down to the things that are genuinely different:

  • Etsy publishing is included from PSDmate's £20 Starter plan.
  • Rendering is unlimited on a flat plan rather than counted in credits.
  • After the sale, PSDmate keeps going with order and tracking sync and a finance dashboard.

If AI image generation is the main thing you are buying, Artomate's credit bundles are strong value, and our comparison page says so plainly.

What comes next

The library will keep growing. New scenes appear in the Add frames window as soon as they pass testing, with no update to install. If there is a room style your shop needs and the library does not have yet, tell us through the contact page.

Not ready to subscribe? The same mockups are in our free PSD mockup pack, which you can open in Photoshop or Photopea.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own PSD mockups to use PSDmate?

Not any more. Every paid plan, including the free trial, comes with PSDmate's own library of framed-poster mockups. Add one from Templates and it renders exactly like a PSD you uploaded yourself. You can still upload your own mockups alongside them.

Do the included mockups count against my storage?

No. A mockup added from the library is copied into your account at no storage cost, so it does not use any of your plan's PSD storage.

How many mockups are in the library?

Twelve framed-poster room scenes at launch, and the library grows over time. New mockups appear in the Add frames window as soon as they are added, with no app update needed.

Can I use the included mockups for my Etsy listings?

Yes. They are there to sell with: render your artwork into them as often as you like and publish the results to your Etsy listings.

How does this compare with Artomate?

Artomate offers gallery templates on its Frames page alongside custom PSD uploads, and PSDmate now does the same. Both render PSD mockups in the cloud without Photoshop. The differences are in pricing and what happens after publishing, which our Artomate comparison page sets out in full.
